Persistence In Mourning- A Tongue Of Bone DIGI-CD on AWWFN Rec.

$ 12.00

Funeral Doom / Death Metal.  Much as lockdown was shite for a variety of reasons, the extra time and lack of distraction did allow me to get back in touch with a few really cool people who I hadn't spoken to in ages, and Andy Lippoldt sits at the top of that list for me! I put out an early PIM LP over a decade ago now and have been out of touch with Andy for ages, in the way that it just goes sometimes when life gets in the way. He's unearthed this unreleased gem from 2010 and I'm so chuffed to be co-releasing it with him!

This album is a supreme distillation of Persistence In Mourning's aesthetic. It's pretty un-categorisable: it lurks in the cold waiting room between the netherworlds of funeral doom, death industrial, power electronics and death metal. It's been said before but over ten years on since I last wrote it: nobody has ever or will ever sound like Persistence In Mourning.

Never an easy listen, nor was it ever intended to be. A Tongue Of Bone is a pitch-back soundscape of total downer decay and misery.

Limited to 200 copies in a digipak.
